Free Summer Food Program for Kids from July 6th to August 14th
Free Summer Food Program for Kids from July 6th to August 14th
07/01/2020
The Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County (CAPC) is offering a Summer Food Service Program! When school is out, children lose access to free and reduced meal programs, putting a strain on the family grocery bill. That’s where the Summer Food Service Program comes in! Beginning July 6 through August 14, children have access to free, nutritious meals at 12 sites (operated by CAPC) in Jefferson County. For those familiar with this program, we will be operating slightly different this year due to COVID-19. Kids will be picking up a prepared bag with lunch and breakfast to take home to eat! Free meals are available to all children 18 years old and under (up to age 21 if disabled).
